Rick Stroud Appointed as Non-Executive Director of Cleveland Mining

Cleveland Mining Company Ltd (ASX: CDG) is pleased to announce that Mr Rick Stroud will join the Board of Cleveland Mining as a Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.
Mr Stroud is a mining engineer with over 40 years' worldwide experience in the mining industry. Over the last 12 years he has held the position of General Manager for P&H Minepro for WA, SA and South-East Asia, Manager Mining and Alternate Resident Manager for Argyle Diamonds, Group General Manager Engineering for Snowden Mining Consultants and co-founder of Optiro Mining Consultants. Mr Stroud has had exposure to all facets of the mining industry from operations to corporate, most mineral commodities, open pit and underground and consulting to contracting. His specialist skills are in strategic and project management, operational optimisation, mentoring senior mining management and personnel and peer reviewing/ project managing mining studies and projects.
During his time with Snowden, Mr Stroud project managed the mining DFS for FMG on Cloud Break and various other iron ore studies, reviews on hematite, magnetite, CIDs and detritals while assisting in establishing an office in Belo Horizonte in Brazil. His gold experience has blanketed mines from Newmont on Batu Hijau in Indonesia, Freeport in West Papua, to mines in Australia, Africa, Mexico and Chile. Previous directorships have included Paget Gold Mining, International Brick and Tile and more recently Mr Stroud was a director of ASX-listed A1 Minerals Limited (now Stone Resources Australia Limited) from August
2010 to April 2011. He currently lives in Perth and is Non-Executive Chairman of Fodere
Mining, a private investment group investigating mining prospects primarily in Indonesia and
Australia.
Mr Stroud replaces Mr Jim Williams, who plans to retire as a Non-Executive Director following the next Board meeting on 1 November 2013. Mr Williams is stepping down from active mining roles in order to pursue other interests.
Mr Williams has held the role of Non-Executive Director since June 2010, prior to the Company's listing on the ASX in October 2010. During this time he has overseen the Company's transformation from early-stage explorer to gold producer, in a period that included exploration drilling, resource definition, feasibility studies, mine construction, commissioning and ramp up.
