Commvault friends and partners lend me your ears! Or, in this case, your eyes since I haven't added a soundtrack for this one.

Today is the International Day of Friendship and what better reason to highlight the friendships we've built, lo these ~25 years. There's been a lot of news coming out of Commvault over the past couple of months and it's time to catch you up on what we've been up to with our ever-growing partner ecosystem.

According to the keepers of the calendar at National Today: 'International Day of Friendship was designated by the United Nations General Assembly (U.N.). On July 30, we step back and get thankful for these relationships worldwide, as they promote and encourage peace, happiness, and unity.'

Relationships you say? Worldwide you say? Why we have those in spades!

Rewind two months and we start with our 25th anniversary and celebratory sentiments from our friends at Hitachi, HPE and NetApp, followed soon thereafter with the debut of our latest and greatest partner program updates, including brand new programs for our MSP and Aggregator partners. A nice summary of what this means for our partner ecosystem straight from our Channel Chief, John Tavares and CMO, Isabelle Guis can be found on our new MSP page.

Last month we were humbled and honored to learn that Commvault won the 2021 Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) GreenLake Momentum Partner of the Year Award. In the words of our friends at HPE, 'the awards recognize partners from across the HPE ecosystem for their incredible commitment to customer excellence, continued strong performance, focus on growth, and dedication to mutual achievements. Winners were selected based on financial performance, innovative solutions, and ability to drive transformative business outcomes for shared customers.' And that's what we strive to do.

On the Metallic front, our partnership with SoftwareONE is off to the races. SoftwareONE has already helped more than 10M users migrate to cloud solutions and is the #1 largest Azure partner globally. Now, our partnership is enabling SoftwareONE to harness the industry's leading SaaS-delivered intelligent data services from Commvault.

Last, but not least, we've ramped up more of the partner work we're doing in the healthcare space by way of the AWS for Health Initiative. A vehicle for delivering secure, scalable, and compliant data management and protection tech for organizations in the healthcare space, AWS for Health features services and solutions from AWS and AWS Partners built specifically for healthcare, biopharma, and genomics customers.

Now while I refill my coffee, please enjoy this take on Commvault from Craig Hurley, Director of Product Management and Strategy - Managed Services with our long-time partner Sirius Solutions:

'As a longtime Commvault partner, Sirius has supported hundreds of clients in their digital transformation journey, delivering Commvault's Intelligent Data Services to address challenges like data sprawl head-on and ensure that their data is protected, secure and available -whenever and wherever they need it.'

- Craig Hurley, Director of Product Management and Strategy - Managed Services, Sirius

I'm back and highly caffeinated. Where was I? Oh yes…

Right now, you may be thinking 'Of course Commvault's partners are going to say great things. They're friends after all.' That would be a fair point if the rest of the industry weren't echoing the same positive sentiments about the moves we've made and continue to make.

Gartner - Yep. We've just been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup and Recovery Software Solutions for the 10th consecutive time. An achievement unmatched by any other vendor to date. Here's Metallic GM Manoj Nair's video where he reflects on how 'leaders' endure.

GigaOm - GigaOm named Commvault a Leader and an Outperformer in its June '21 reports: 'GigaOm Radar for Hybrid Cloud Data Protection (Enterprise)' and 'GigaOm Radar for Hybrid Cloud Data Protection (SMB).' Commvault was a top-rated vendor in all Key Criteria and Evaluation categories across both reports and both Commvault and Metallic have been designated as Outperformers by GigaOm.

William Blair analyst Jason Ader's quarterly VAR Enterprise Tracker - a survey of VARs conducted in June - shows that Commvault's mojo is strong, and the company is executing well as ransomware continues to threaten businesses big and small. It just so happens that protecting and recovering data sure does help a lot when it comes to cyberthreats. You can find a great write up on the VAR survey by The Register's Chris Mellor here.

If you couldn't tell by now, the technological leapfrogging we've accomplished with our Metallic portfolio is truly disrupting the industry. Check out this piece on our earnings fromCRN's Joe Kovar that published earlier this week and read for yourself how Commvault is driving sales with Metallic SaaS.

And yes, I'm sure you've heard that two weeks ago Commvault and Metallic swept the 2021 IT World Awards® with Gold Globee® awards for Commvault Disaster Recovery and Metallic SaaS.

The amazing thing to me is that all of this happened in just two months. I'm looking around and it turns out Commvault and Metallic have a lot of friends in all sorts of places.

Excelsior!

P.S. Today is also the 22nd annual System Administrator Appreciation Day. Buy your IT team some pizza or something for crying out loud.
