ON THE AGREEMENT OF THE USE OF TECHNOLOGICAL MEANS IN THE ORDINARY

SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

(Santiago, Chile, April 8, 2020) - Compañía Cervecerías Unidas S.A. (CCU) announces that the Board of Directors of the Company, at its meeting held today, April 8, 2020, approved the mechanism for remote participation and voting at the Ordinary Shareholders' Meeting convened for Wednesday, April 15, 2020 (the "Meeting"). The above, in line with the measures adopted by the authority regarding the COVID-19 pandemic that is currently affecting the country, including the current total quarantine in several communes of the Metropolitan Region, including the commune of Las Condes, where the Meeting is to be held.

For more information on how to remotely participate and vote on the Meeting, an instruction manual will be made available to the shareholders on the Company's website www.ccu.cl. The above will also be communicated in the two remaining notices to the aforementioned Ordinary Shareholders´ Meeting, to be published on April 10 and 11 in the El Mercurio newspaper.

CCU is a multi-category beverage company with operations in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay. CCU is one of the largest players in each one of the beverage categories in which it participates in Chile, including beer, soft drinks, mineral and bottled water, nectar, wine and pisco, among others. CCU is the second-largest brewer in Argentina and also participates in the cider, spirits and wine industries. In Uruguay and Paraguay, the Company is present in the beer, mineral and bottled water, soft drinks and nectar categories. In Bolivia, CCU participates in the beer, water, soft drinks and malt beverage categories. In Colombia, the Company participates in the beer and in the malt industry. The Company's principal licensing, distribution and / or joint venture agreements include Heineken Brouwerijen B.V., PepsiCo Inc., Seven-up International, Schweppes Holdings Limited, Société des Produits Nestlé S.A., Pernod Ricard Chile S.A., Promarca S.A. (Watt's) and Coors Brewing Company.
