Copel becomes part of the MSCI Brazil index

COPEL ("Company"), a company that generates, transmits, distributes and trades energy, informs its shareholders and the market in general that the class B preferred shares (PNB) of Copel ("CPLE6") have become part of MSCI Brazil ("index"), index of national shares from the Morgan Stanley Capital Index ("MSCI"), with a weight of 0.47% in the indicator.

With the portfolio review, which will be effective from December 1st, the index now consists of 48 companies, representing around 85% of the Brazilian stock market, according to MSCI.

MSCI indices are a global reference for institutional investors, who use them as a reference to compose the investment portfolio of passive funds around the world. According to MSCI, currently around US$14.9 trillion in equity under investment fund management are managed globally using MSCI indices as a benchmark.
