Corporación Acciona Energías Renovables, S.A. (BME:ANE) commences share repurchases on August 29, 2023, under the program mandated by the shareholders in the Annual General Meeting held on May 26, 2021. As per the mandate, the company is authorized to repurchase its own shares.
On August 28, 2023, the company announced a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 4,938,759 shares, representing 1.5% of its issued share capital, for ? 172.86 million. The purpose of the program reduction of capital through amortization. The program will August 29, 2024.
Corporación Acciona Energías Renovables, S.A. is specialized in the development, engineering, construction and operation of renewable power plants. Net sales break down by type of power plants as follows:
- wind power plants (46.4%);
- hydroelectric power plants (4.9%);
- photovoltaic power plants (4.2%);
- thermo-solar and biomass power plants (1.9%);
- other (42.6%).
At the end of 2023, the group had an installed capacity of 12,131 MW.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Spain (68.4%), Europe (7.9%), Americas (20%), Australia (1.5%) and others (2.2%).
