China Shipping Development Company Limited provided earnings guidance for the first quarter of 2014. For the period, the company predicted net profit attributable to shareholders of CNY 50 million to CNY 60 million, compared to loss of CNY 484 million a year ago. It mainly attributed the profit to sharply increased operating revenue driven by rebounded shipping price in the international oil and dry-bulk cargo transportation market and largely increased investment yields rooted from operation improvements of affiliates.
