Recently, the first hydrogen-powered autonomousrail rapid transit (ART) in the world made its official debut in Malaysia. Witnessed by Abang Johari Tun Openg, the Premier of Sarawak state of Malaysia, the ART started its three-month pilot run, marking the entry of CRRC's first overseas ART project into the critical period before business operation.

ART refers to "Autonomousrail Rapid Transit", a new green rail transit vehicle independently developed by CRRC. As a crossover product integrating the advantages of both rail transit and ground transit, ART adopts the unique autonomous guidance and orbital tracking technology, and features low investment in infrastructure, short construction cycle, flexible dispatching, and intelligence and convenience. At the same time, the ART uses hydrogen energy as its power system, and has the advantages of longer range, shorter hydrogenation time, lower carbon emission, better energy conservation, and better environmental friendliness. ART provides an innovative low-medium volume rail transit system solution that combines capacity and cost advantages for urban traveling home and abroad.

The ART's route planning covers key commercial areas, residential areas and tourist attractions, offering a new method for residents' traveling and for local tourism and economic development. In addition, the operation of the ART will promote local employment by providing more employment opportunities.
