CSN Mineração S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported net income was BRL 825.72 million compared to BRL 2,500.64 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.1505 compared to BRL 0.4516 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.1505 compared to BRL 0.4516 a year ago.
For the six months, net income was BRL 1,564.86 million compared to BRL 4,863.3 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2853 compared to BRL 0.8782 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2853 compared to BRL 0.8782 a year ago.
CSN Mineracao SA, formerly known as Congonhas Minerios SA, is a Brazil-based iron ore mining company involved in the production, purchase and sale of iron ore. The Company operates the Casa de Pedra and Engenho mines located in the state of Minas Gerais, as well as the Terminal de Carvao (TECAR), a solid bulks terminal located in Itaguai Port in the state of Rio de Janeiro, through which the Firm exports iron ore and imports coal and coke. The Company is controlled by Companhia Siderurgica Nacional.
