SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Cubic Corp. (CUB) on Wednesday reported a loss of $36 million in its fiscal second quarter.

The San Diego-based company said it had a loss of $1.14 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 15 cents per share.

The electronics company posted revenue of $343.4 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $335.1 million.

Cubic shares have risen 21% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $74.89, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
