CVS Health Corp. on Monday said it named Neela Montgomery executive vice president and president of its CVS pharmacy/retail arm, effective Nov. 30.

The Woonsocket, R.I., healthcare-services giant said Ms. Montgomery will oversee its 10,000 pharmacies across the U.S.

Ms. Montgomery, currently a board partner at venture-capital firm Greycroft, stepped down as chief executive of furniture retailer Crate & Barrel earlier this year.

Kevin Hourican, who had been president of CVS Pharmacy, left the company in January to become president and chief executive of food-service distributor Sysco Corp. Jonathan Roberts, CVS executive vice president and chief operating officer, assumed responsibility for CVS Pharmacy on an interim basis while the company conducted a search for a successor.
