Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) and Chuo Senko (Thailand) Public Company Limited (Chuo Senko (Thailand)), a company operating an advertising business in the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region have entered into a business alliance. The alliance partners will leverage their, respective strengths, to launch a joint business in June 2015, involved in the total support for brand management, as well as making proposals and operating marketing measures for Japanese companies that enter the ASEAN market. Local companies will also be served.

Beginning with Thailand and Singapore, numerous Japanese companies, such as distributors, retailers and manufacturers are entering the ASEAN market, and many more are expected to follow.

In the ASEAN markets, DNP has already established a printing and publishing business, as well as businesses involved in commercial printing IC card, packaging material and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). In addition, the Company operates a market support business.

Chuo Senko (Thailand) entered the Thai market in 1963, and has since operated an advertising-related business in the ASEAN region. Currently, the major full-service advertising company maintains sales offices in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, India and the Philippines, and is aiming to expand and enhance advertising related business throughout the ASEAN region.

Looking ahead, the alliance partners will leverage the bases provided by Chuo Senko (Thailand) and the synergies created by sharing solutions and know-how along with personnel exchanges, to expand business in the ASEAN market that is undergoing remarkable economic development.

  • The alliance partners will combine the extensive experience built up by Chuo Senko (Thailand) in the ASEAN market, with the planning and development capabilities and ICT-driven solutions of DNP, to propose services to Japanese companies entering the ASEAN market. The alliance partners aim to provide total support for the planning of brand strategy plans and outlet development, real marketing and promotion measures, such as ads and events, along with digital marketing and promotion policies, including web-based campaigns.
  • Support will also be offered to local companies in ASEAN, including branding strategies designed to boost corporate image when rolling out businesses in neighboring nations or in Japan, and CSR activities. Support will also be provided for the planning, development and execution of showroom and factory tours.
  • Together, the partners will offer solutions designed to deepen the communication with consumers and companies for Japanese companies looking to participate in the ASEAN market and also for local companies. In addition to boosting consumer convenience we will also contribute to increasing company sales. And looking further ahead, new services will be developed that leverage the know-how and strengths of the alliance partners.
