Investa Bank, S.A., Institución de Banca Múltiple entered into an agreement to acquire Deutsche Bank Mexico, S.A. Institucion de Banca Multiple and Deutsche Securities, S.A. de C.V., Casa de Bolsa from Deutsche Bank AG (DB:DBK) on October 26, 2016. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, antitrust approval by the federal competition commission and other customary closing conditions. The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2017. As of November 17, 2017, the transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018. As of May 23, 2018, the transaction is expected to close in June 2018.
