Jana Small Finance Bank Limited announced that it has issued around 2,440,000 equity shares at INR 414 per share for a total value of INR 1,010,000,000 and around 12,100,000 compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) at an issue price of INR 10 each, amounting to INR 121,600,000 for the gross proceeds of INR 1,131,500,000 in a round of funding on January 20, 2024. The transaction includes the participation for equity shares from new investors, SBI General Insurance Company Limited for INR 250,000,000, Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance Company Limited for 200,000,000, Ananta Capital Ventures Fund 1 for 150,000,000, Madhu Silica Private Limited, Navatris Investments, Dhoot Industrial Finance Limited, Capri Global Holdings Private Limited, RPM Ventures, Negen Undiscovered Value Fund, S Four Capital, and from new individual investor, Anil Singhvi and for compulsorily convertible preference shares new investors, Amansa Capital Pte. Ltd. and TPG Growth Capital Asia Limited.

The transaction has been approved by the shareholder board on August 11, 2023, and January 15, 2024, and shareholders on September 4, 2023 and January 18, 2024.
