Press Release DIC Asset AG Honoured with double Gold for Financial Reporting
Frankfurt am Main, 11 September 2020. DIC Asset AG (ISIN: DE000A1X3XX4), one of Germany's leading listed property companies, was honoured with the EPRA Best Practices Recommendation (BPR) Gold Award on occasion of the Annual Report Survey by Deloitte and the European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA). In addition, the annual report 2019 was awarded with global Gold by the international Jury of the LACP Vision Awards and voted among the 20 best German reports. "It is a major achievement for us that EPRA honoured the continued development of our financial reports with its Gold Award this year. Especially in recent years, we strongly focused on enhanced portfolio transparency and a proactive investor dialogue, and we intend to keep applying and setting industry standards in future," commented CEO Sonja Wärntges. EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) is a platform of listed European real estate companies. In the field of financial reporting, EPRA seeks to enhance the transparency of financial reporting by developing uniform valuation and reporting standards in the European real estate sector. Within the framework of the annual BPR survey, the annual reports of 168 listed European real estate companies were analysed in regard to their comparability and transparency for international investors. The process focuses specifically on the reporting of EPRA metrics, which represent an established industry standard particularly important for real estate asset holders. Its 2019 annual report was the first time that DIC Asset AG provided a full account of all established EPRA metrics in a dedicated chapter. Moreover, as an "early adopter" it already applied the latest recommendations as of year-end 2019, which did not become a binding requirement for EPRA members before reporting periods starting in 2020.
