Robot system "MATRIS Light"

Quick automation of high-mixlow-volume production

with flexible installation

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter called DMG MORI) has launched its flexible robot system "MATRIS Light" for immediate automation at the time when needed.

MATRIS Light consists of a collaborative robot mounted on a hand cart for free movement. Just one operator is enough to move the cart in front of a machine tool in use and automate workpiece loading and unloading within short time. When needs change, MATRIS Light can be flexibly moved to the next machine in need of automation to quickly support production, e.g. when the operator is absent. Furthermore, DMG MORI offers a wide range of peripheral equipment to build up an even more sophisticated automation system.

  • Mounted on a hand cart and movable by a single operator
  • Setup in only 5 minutes for immediate automation
  • Compact hand cart: 600 mm width / 900 mm length / 1,700 mm height with robot.
    • Equivalent to the space used by operators
    • No additional space for automation systems necessary
  • Compact floor space: 1.4 m2
  • Compatible with different types of peripheral equipment, such as measurement and washing stations
  • Direct Teaching makes robot teaching intuitive and independent of special knowledge
  • Maximum transfer weight: 5 kg
  • Highly sensitive to immediately stop movement when in contact with humans - no fences needed
  • Usable with DMG MORI's rich lineup of machine tools
    • Can also be retrofitted on existing machines in use
  • Immediate startup without large-scale changes to equipment layout
