Dongil Steel Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was KRW 617.12 million compared to KRW 1,584.33 million a year ago. Net loss was KRW 3,826.8 million compared to KRW 1,259.61 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 522 compared to KRW 199 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was KRW 428. Basic loss per share was KRW 522 compared to KRW 199 a year ago. Diluted loss per share was KRW 428.
For the nine months, sales was KRW 6,809.91 million compared to KRW 5,263.18 million a year ago. Net income was KRW 27,991.23 million compared to net loss of KRW 4,948.76 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 3,820 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of KRW 782 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was KRW 3,350. Basic earnings per share was KRW 3,820 compared to basic loss per share of KRW 782 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was KRW 3,350.
DONGIL STEEL Co., Ltd. is a Korea-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture of steel products. The Company operates its business through two main divisions: bar steels division and shape steels division. Its bar steels division engages in the manufacture of bar steels such as cold drawn steel round bars, hot rolled steel round bars, cold drawn steel square bars, cold drawn steel hexagonal bars and cold drawn steel rectangular bars used for automobile parts, machine parts, building materials, shipbuilding hardware, bolt-nuts and various shafts. Its shape steels division engages in the manufacture of shape steels, such as equal angles, unequal angles and channels used for shipbuilding, iron towers, braces, struts, bending materials and others. The Company distributes its products within domestic market and to overseas markets.
