Earth Chemical Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2016. For the period, the company has posted net sales of ¥137,282 million, ordinary income of ¥12,537 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥7,806 million or earnings per share of ¥386.54 against net sales of ¥132,610 million, ordinary income of ¥12,248 million, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥7,144 million or earnings per share of ¥353.74.
For the year ending December 31, 2016, the company expects net sales of ¥170,000 million, Operating income of ¥5,100, profit attributable to owners of parent of ¥3,000 million or ¥148.55 per share.
For the year, the company expects to pay year-end dividend of ¥115.00 per share against ¥110.00 per share a year ago.
Earth Corporation, formerly EARTH CHEMICAL CO., LTD. is a company mainly engaged in manufacturing and sales of insecticides and household products. The Company operates through two business segments. The Household Products segment is engaged in manufacturing, sales, import and export of household insecticides, garden products, pet supplies, household insecticides, including mouth washes, denture related supplies, tooth brushing products, bathing agents, deodorant fragrances. This segment also provides drugs for infectious disease control, agricultural and animal husbandry, as well as provision of raw materials for overseas. The Comprehensive Environmental Hygiene segment is engaged in provision of environmental hygiene services for food and medicine factories, and provision of related consulting services. The other business engages in environmental hygiene management work, including insect and rat control, cleaning and disinfection restaurants and office buildings.
