CHICAGO (AP) _ Echo Global Logistics Inc. (ECHO) on Tuesday reported third-quarter profit of $18.9 million.

The Chicago-based company said it had profit of 70 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 93 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 73 cents per share.

The provider of supply-chain management services posted revenue of $985.6 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $925.6 million.
