The board of directors of Eco-Tek Holdings Limited informed the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that based on the preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 January 2020 and information currently available to the Board, the Group is expected to record a loss attributable to owners of the Company for the three months ended 31 January 2020 as compared to a profit attributable to owners of the Company of approximately HKD 255,000 for the three months ended 31 January 2019. The estimated loss is mainly attributable to approximately 19% decrease in the revenue of the Group for the three months ended 31 January 2020 and a further income tax provision of approximately HKD 8,400,000 was made. Under China's trade war with the UnitedStates, the industrial market sentiment was uncertain and customers have adopted a conservative approach by reducing purchase. As the market was not yet recovered from the Trade War impacts, the outbreak of COVID-19 virus made it even worse and nearly all business activities have been suspended since January. As a result, the revenue of the Group for the three month ended 31 January 2020 decreased by approximately 19% as compared with that of last corresponding period.
