Lisbon, August 4th, 2020:Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 19 of Regulation (EU) no. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of article 10 of the Delegated Regulation (EU) no.2016/522 of the Commissionand of article 248-B of the Portuguese Securities Code, EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. ('EDP') provides the following information to the market and to the public in general:
In the context of the share capital increase, which attributes subscription rights to shareholders, the member of the General and Supervisory Board Fernando Masaveu Herrero informed EDP that:
Oppidum Capital, S.L., legal person controlled by D. Fernando Masaveu Herrero, on August 3rd, 2020, opted for the exercise of its respective subscription rights of 263,046,616 shares, which correspond to 22,368,267 shares (Annex I).
Doña Carolina Compostizo Fernández, D. Fernando Masaveu Herrero's spouse, on July 30th, 2020, opted for the exercise of its respective subscription rights of 17,020 which correspond to 1,447 shares (Annex II).
The descendants Don Elías Masaveu Compostizo, Don Pedro Masaveu Compostizo and Don Jaime Masaveu Compostizo, on July 30th, 2020, opted, each one, for the exercise of its respective subscription rights of 500 shares, which correspond to 42 shares (Annex III, IV and V).
Enclosed in Annex hereto, please find the forms for notification and public disclosure of transactions on the shares of EDP, prepared in conformance with the Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 2016/523, of the Commission, of 10 March 2016, laying down implementation technical standards with regard to the format and template for notification and public disclosure of managers' transactions, in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
