DIVESTMENT ON COSTA RICA ENERGÉTICA LTDA

São Paulo, May 24, 2018 - EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. ("EDP" or "Company") (B3: ENBR3), hereby announces to its shareholders and the market in general that, on this date, was signed a Share Purchase and Sale´s agreement with CEI - Energética Integrada Ltda to sell 51% of the total capital of Costa Rica Energética Ltda ("Costa Rica"). Costa Rica has a small hydro power plant, with an installed capacity of 16 MW, located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.

The total amount of the transaction is R$ 40.4 million, to be adjusted between the signing and the closing date. The transaction is subject to prior approval of precedent conditions, which includes: (a) the Brazilian Antitrust Authority (CADE); and (b) the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL).

Within this transaction, the Company concludes the process of divesting on small hydro power plants in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, started with the sale of Pantanal Energética Ltda, with an installed capacity of 51.1 MW, which was completed on January 29, 2016.

The Company will inform its shareholders and the market in general regarding the transaction.
