In order to support the preparation for the dismantling of the Fessenheim Nuclear Power Plant (CNPE), EDF has instructed our Clemessy experts to ensure the multitechnical maintenance of all the installations for three years.

Initiated last March, the contract can be extended for up to five years, until the decommissioning phase of the plant.

Since the shutdown in 2020 of the two reactors at the Fessenheim power plant (the first in February and the second in June), EDF has undertaken to prepare the facilities for decommissioning after 43 years of service.

As the group's representative in charge of the industrial maintenance of the site with Omexom and Endel, Clemessy has undertaken to maintain the electrical installations for at least three years. As long as the fuel is present in the plant, our experts will ensure the proper functioning of the Electrical Safety Installations (IES). They will keep the lighting and the various electrical panels in perfect working order. They will also ensure the durability of access control, the Fire Detection System (SDI), as well as the tightness of the sectorization devices, the purpose of which is to prevent the possible spread of any fire departure. Endel's employees, for their part, will take care of the mechanical maintenance of the plant and that of the piping.

Under the leadership of EDF, our teams will have to ensure the multi-technical maintenance of the installations. The contours of their mission will be adjusted during the quarterly management boards, according to the needs expressed by the client.
