Netel's subsidiary Eltek is to modernize and expand Svenska Kraftnät's substation in Tenhult outside Jönköping. Eltek will also carry out OHL connection to the substation.

The project with the air-insulated 400 kV substation starts in the second quarter of 2024 and runs until the second half of 2025. The order value is about SEK 25 million and Siemens Energy is the main contractor.

“We are proud to participate in the modernization and expansion of Sweden's electricity grid so that society can be electrified,” says Jeanette Reuterskiöld, Netel's President and CEO. “Electrification is a prerequisite for us to meet the climate goals of the Paris Agreement and limit global warming.”
