The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Giuliano Poletti, visited Engineering's 'Enrico della Valle' IT & Management School in Ferentino (FR) near Rome this morning.

With 170 internal and external teachers, and over 300 catalogue courses, Engineering's School delivers 17,000 person/days of technical, methodological and behavioural training each year for the production facilities of the Group and its clients.

During the meeting with Engineering President Michele Cinaglia and CEO Paolo Pandozy, topics of common interest to businesses and the public administration, such as youth employment, were discussed with a view to opportunities for future collaboration to address the new challenges of the labour market.

Engineering also highlighted the significant growth of its staff from the beginning of the year, with the incorporation to date of more than 600 persons within the company, using also the progressive entitlement employment contract and recruitment incentives. Those recruited are mainly graduates in engineering, computer science, economics, physics and mathematics, while an additional 400 persons are expected to be recruited by the end of 2015.

The day ended with the launch of one of Engineering's new environmental initiatives and the handing over by Minister Poletti of two bicycles to two newly-hired young employees in the school. In fact, the new corporate campaign envisages the gift of a folding bicycle to all newly-hired young apprentices, emphasising the attention Engineering pays to environmental issues.

Addressing the employees present at the handing over of the bicycles, Minister Poletti said: 'You are lucky to work in a company that operates at the forefront of innovation, a continuous stimulus for your professional growth and the community. I hope that our country will increasingly resemble a company like Engineering: healthy, solid and innovative'.

'We are an Italian group with an international vocation and naturally inclined to contribute, with our expertise and propensity for innovation, to the implementation of projects useful for the development and employment of our country,' concluded President Michele Cinaglia.
