EP Energy Corporation reported earnings and operating results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, total operating revenues were $294 million compared to $219 million a year ago. Operating income was $49 million compared to loss of $18 million a year ago. Loss before income taxes was $44 million compared to $74 million a year ago. Net loss was $44 million compared to $72 million a year ago. Adjusted diluted LPS was $0.04 compared to $0.12 a year ago.

For the quarter, Oil production was 46.4 MBbls/d compared to 45.1 MBbls/d a year ago. Total equivalent production was 80.4 MBoe/d compared to 81.0 MBoe/d a year ago. Produced Volumes was 81.7 MBoe/d compared to 81.0 MBoe/d a year ago. Total Natural Gas Sales Volumes was 121 MMcf/d compared to 126 MMcf/d a year ago. Total NGLs Sales Volumes was 13.9 MBbls/d compared to 14.9 MBbls/d a year ago.

For the year, the company expects total production was 79 MBoe/d-82 MBoe/d. Oil production was 45 MBbls/d - 47 MBbls/d.

EP Energy Corporation (EP Energy) is an independent exploration and production company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition and development of unconventional onshore oil and natural gas properties in the United States. The Company operates through a base of producing assets. It is involved in the development of its drilling inventory located in three areas: the Eagle Ford Shale (South Texas), the Wolfcamp Shale (Permian Basin in West Texas) and the Altamont Field in the Uinta Basin (Northeastern Utah). As of December 31, 2016, in its operating areas, the Company had identified 5,156 drilling locations (including 639 drilling locations to which it has attributed proved undeveloped reserves). As of December 31, 2016, the Company had proved reserves of 432.4 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBoe) and an average net daily production of 87,641 barrel of oil equivalent per day (Boe/d).
