Equita Group, board co-opts Lunelli as director; Serra new statutory auditor

(Alliance News) - The board of directors of Equita Group Spa announced Thursday that it has appointed Matteo Bruno Lunelli as an independent director of the company.

The co-optation follows the resignation submitted last June 27 by independent board member Paolo Colonna - effective today - made necessary by the recent renewal of Fondazione Cariplo's institutional bodies and the growth in size of Equita Group, conditions that led to the incompatibility between the positions taken by Colonna in Fondazione Cariplo and that of independent board member in Equita.

In addition, the board appointed Andrea Serra as a new statutory auditor following the resignation submitted by Laura Acquadro, effective immediately.

Equita is in the green by 1.1 percent at EUR3.71 per share.
