BRYN MAWR, Pa. (AP) _ Essential Utilities, Inc. (WTRG) on Monday reported third-quarter profit of $50.5 million.

The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 19 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.

The water utility posted revenue of $361.9 million in the period.

Essential Utilities expects full-year earnings to be $1.64 to $1.69 per share.
