• The low-environmental impact stand will be made of natural materials and designed to be reused.

  • The project enables Fluidra to implement with this stand some commitments from its Responsibility Blueprint such as promotion of the circular economy.

Fluidra, the global leader in equipment and connected solutions in the pool and wellness sector, will stay true to its Environmental, Social, and Governance commitment at the Barcelona Piscina & Wellness exhibition with a stand designed from a sustainable perspective.

In line with the commitments disclosed in its ESG master plan (called the Responsibility Blueprint), Fluidra's stand is based on a pop-up architecture project and has involved leading suppliers in sustainability matters. The design turns on the concept of Mediterranean architecture, being a faithful reflection of the concepts of bioconstruction, ecodesign, and circular economy as a guiding thread behind the project.

The Fluidra exhibition space, designed by the sustainable pop-up project benchmark and winners of an FAD award, Espacios Singulares, covers 1,236 square meters (13,304 square feet) and will be built from, among others, natural materials not treated with toxic or harmful substances, with a design largely focused on reuse. The entire value chain is committed to ensuring corporate social responsibility.

The luminous signage will be reused, promoting the circular economy. The wood used will be locally sourced poplar from sustainable forestry management plantations. Poplar is a good choice to fight climate change as it is a species with a high CO2 absorption.

The carpet is made from waste material such as fishing nets and plastic bottles and is Cradle to Cradle-certified in acknowledgment of safer, more sustainable products manufactured to promote the circular economy. The printing inks are Ecologo and Greenguard certified, complying with low-emission criteria.

In addition to the stand design, a large part of the equipment and products to be presented will be eco-conscious and duly identified as such. Fluidra will not hand out printed brochures but tap QR codes to download product information.

The company will also offer an organic bag gadget and solidarity candy made at the occupational center of Barcelona's Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, a recognized Catalan institution that recruits people with an intellectual disability in order to achieve maximum social integration through active employment.
