Sydney, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Freelancer Limited (Freelancer or the Company) (ASX:FLN) today announced the acquisition of certain intellectual property and domain name assets of zlecenia.przez.net sp. z o.o., which operates Poland's largest freelancing marketplace dedicated to online categories of work (zlecenia.przez.net or the Site).

The Site's marketplace has operated since 2004 and has over 85,000 users who have posted over 115,000 projects to date. Freelancer will integrate the Site's users onto its global marketplace in the coming days.

Freelancer's website is already translated into Polish, operating via its regional website www.freelancer.pl, previously supporting 82,500 Polish users, and will now support transactions in Polish Zloty which will ensure a smooth transition for users of the Site.

The acquisition of the Site will be funded from the Company's existing cash reserves and is not expected to have a material impact on revenue in FY14.
