Friwo : Medically approved 65 W open-frame power supplies

With the new OF65 line FRIWO offers highly efficient open-frame switch mode power supplies in standard industrial format of 4 x 2 x 1 inches. The OF65 units feature a wide range input of 90 - 264 VAC and are available with output voltages of 12 VDC, 15 VDC, 24 VDC and 48 VDC. These products are designed for use in a wide ambient temperature range of -25°C to +65°C. The specified power of 65 W is achieved by pure convection cooling, a fan is not required. The units come with two fuses in the input circuit, have a reinforced insulation and may therefore be used for both protection class I and II applications.

The power supplies are suppressed according to the current medical EMC standard IEC60601-1-2 in its fourth edition, and are approved and certified in accordance with IEC60601-1. They also meet the requirements of protection class 2 x MOPP and have a minimum leakage current of ≤ 100 µA which ensures optimum patient safety.

FRIWO is also pleased to announce that switch mode power supplies were approved and certified in accordance with IT standards IEC/EN60950-1, UL 60950-1, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1-07. Consequently, these units can also be safely used in IT applications, both in Europe and the United States of America.
