FTI Consulting : Strengthens Transactions Practice With Appointment of John Cornell

Washington, D.C., August 14, 2023 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of John Cornell as a Managing Director in the Transactions practice within the firm's Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment.

Mr. Cornell, who is based in New York, joins with more than 16 years of experience as an external advisor and operator for public and private companies across multiple industries. Mr. Cornell has provided services across the M&A life cycle including financial due diligence, financial analysis, cash flow modeling, contract negotiation support, vendor negotiation, working capital disputes, capital raise efforts, functional optimization and developing and executing pre- and post-close integration plans.

In his role at FTI Consulting, Mr. Cornell will focus on transactions diligence, working with private equity and strategic clients to provide buy-side and sell-side advisory services.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Cornell was a Principal in the M&A practice at a global public accounting and advisory firm. Prior to that, he held numerous in-house operating roles, having served as a Chief Financial Officer, SVP of M&A Integration at an acquisitive healthcare company and GM at a private equity backed carbon accounting SaaS business. He began his career at a Big Four firm.
