Gatron (Industries) Limited announced consolidated and non-consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended March 31, 2018. For the second quarter on non-consolidated basis, the company reported sales of PKR 3,556.819 million compared to PKR 3,256.797 million a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 198.887 million compared to PKR 21.737 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was PKR 425.412 million compared to PKR 10.903 million a year ago. Profit after income tax was PKR 387.266 million compared to loss after income tax of PKR 13.512 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share was PKR 10.09 compared to loss per basic and diluted share of PKR 0.35 a year ago.
For the nine months on non-consolidated basis, the company reported sales of PKR 8,765.896 million compared to PKR 8,105.495 million a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 353.927 million compared to operating loss of PKR 254.662 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was PKR 795.341 million compared to loss before income tax of PKR 74.159 million a year ago. Profit after income tax was PKR 723.272 million compared to loss after income tax of PKR 94.880 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share was PKR 18.85 compared to loss per basic and diluted share of PKR 2.47 a year ago.
For the quarter on consolidated basis, the company reported sales of PKR 3,488.226 million compared to PKR 3,195.067 million a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 290.416 million compared to PKR 90.672 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was PKR 520.070 million compared to PKR 144.712 million a year ago. Profit after income tax was PKR 466.759 million compared to PKR 111.965 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share was PKR 12.17 compared to PKR 2.92 a year ago.
For the nine months on consolidated basis, the company reported sales of PKR 8,572.180 million compared to PKR 7,933.427 million a year ago. Operating profit was PKR 545.390 million compared to PKR 43.464 million a year ago. Profit before income tax was PKR 1,402.122 million compared to PKR 622.460 million a year ago. Profit after income tax was PKR 1,220.675 million compared to PKR 525.995 million a year ago. Earnings per basic and diluted share was PKR 31.82 compared to PKR 13.71 a year ago.
Gatron (Industries) Limited is a Pakistan-based company, which is engaged in the manufacturing of polyester filament yarn through its self-produced polyester polymer/chips.
