GAZ : held a relay race in Nizhny Novgorod

GAZ Group held the 71st relay race for the prizes of 'Avtozavodets' newspaper on the occasion of 85-year anniversary of Gorky Automobile Plant. Organizers of the relay race are editor's office of the newspaper, sports club 'Torpedo', GAZ trade union committee and administration of Avtozavodksy district.

Almost 2 thousand people toed the starting line of the 3 km relay race: teams from GAZ Group plants in Nizhny Novgorod, teams representing GAZ dealers, city and Avtozavodksy district organizations, teams from secondary and higher education institutions as well as 'Chance' society team (wheel-chair user society).

Within the framework of this event, a special race of the united team of GAZ Group managers and Gorky automobile plant volunteers took place. Also there was a symbolic 'Relay Race of Generations' with the participation of sports veterans, champions and Olympics athletes from Torpedo sports club, young employees of Gorky Automobile Plant, Nizhny Novgorod Automotive Technical School students as well as children of GAZ Group employees.

Winners and medalists of the relay race were awarded with commemorative diplomas, cups and souvenirs.
