Gemadept : welcomes Thai logistics delegation to visit Song Than Logistics Center

Receiving the suggestion of the Deputy Consul General in charge of Thai Commerce in Vietnam, on 27 September 2016, at Song Than Logistics Center, representatives of Gemadept's BOD welcomed 28 Thai logistics enterprises to visit the facilities and seek for cooperation opportunities.

The delegation was led by Mr. Mathyawongse Amatyakul, Assistant to the Deputy Consul General in charge of Thai Commerce. Gemadept was one of two Vietnamese Logistics companies being selected for this program.
After the tour, the delegation appreciated Gemadept for the scale of the Distribution Centers, the Company's logistics infrastructure, management solutions and professionalism in operation. Thereby, the Thai enterprises do expect to have cooperation with the Company in the future.

With its presence over more than a quarter of a century in the market, Gemadept has built a brand name with dominant position in Vietnam's Port operation and Logistics. In regard to Thai market, last September, Gemadept was selected to provide cross border transport service for Masan Consumer serving chili export to the market.

Along with the opportunities via Vietnam's signing of 10 Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), finishing the negotiations for Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in Atlanta and implementing ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), the inflow of FDI to Vietnam will continue to grow, including that of Thai enterprises (making it among the top 10 countries with highest investment into Vietnam according to the statistics for 1 half 2016 by the Foreign Investment Agency).
