We're confident in saying that our Standard Variable and Fixed tariffs are among the greenest energy tariffs in Britain. In fact, no other energy supplier has achieved all of the accreditations listed below, from some of the country's most trusted consumer choice services.

Uswitch Green Tariff Gold Standard

Britain's leading utility switching service is making it easier to find genuinely green energy suppliers. Their Green Tariff accreditation launched in 2021 gives different grades for sustainability. We have received the highest one, Gold Standard, for two years running.

Uswitch explains that "Gold Standard tariffs will provide 100% of renewable electricity from PPAs and 10% of green gas. These tariffs will also provide a meaningful contribution towards increasing and/or promoting renewable energy, for example by investing into future renewable generation, such as wind and solar and market innovations that help promote renewable uptake".

Which? Eco Provider for Energy

Which? have been helping households find the best quality services for over 70 years. Their new Eco Provider accreditation makes finding sustainable products simple - and we're proud to be named an Eco Provider for Energy.

We also topped their 2021 league table of green energy companies.

"We know consumers are growing ever-more environmentally conscious, and our research shows that some energy firms go to great lengths to invest in the technology we need to clean up the grid, generate renewable electricity, or buy it from renewable generators."

Ethical Consumer Best Buy

The Ethical Consumer Best Buy label makes it easy to find products that meet the highest ethical and environmental standards. Good Energy has been a Best Buy for energy for over 9 years.

Before awarding a Best Buy label, Ethical Consumer's researchers rate both the product and the company against more than 20 environmental, human rights and animal welfare criteria. Other best buy companies include names like Neal's Yard Remedies and Triodos, putting Good Energy in good company.

Good Housekeeping Institute

The Good Housekeeping Institute has been testing and recommending trusted products for almost 100 years. And since 2019, the organisation has been acknowledging the positive steps forward companies are taking to aid and protect our environment, with its Getting Greener endorsement.

The Good Housekeeping Institute has verified and accredited initiatives such as reducing plastic waste, sustainable packaging, or making eco-friendly mattresses.

After a rigorous period of testing, Good Energy became the first energy company to be approved as a verified "100% renewable electricity provider" by the Good Housekeeping Institute.
