Grand Banks Features Aleutian Series, New Model News at Fall Shows

Production Begins on Big New Eastbay Flybridge Model

SEATTLE – September 14, 2011 – Grand Banks Yachts enters the fall boat show season on an upswing, with highly anticipated exhibits at events across the US and in Europe. The company is also using the occasion to announce its newest model, the 55 Eastbay FB - a flybridge-topped version of the 55-foot Downeast cruiser now leading the Grand Banks Eastbay Series.

The 55FB is currently under construction for a launch in 2012, when it delivers to an owner in the northeast United States. Like all yachts in the Eastbay Series, the 55FB combines a seaworthy modified-Vee hull by C. Raymond Hunt Associates with GB's acclaimed build quality and craftsmanship - all in a timelessly-styled design. This model features a spacious flying bridge with Stidd helm seats, handmade teak dining table surrounded by a large L-settee, plus lots of room for entertaining and enjoyment. Down below, owners can choose from two- or three-stateroom layouts and options for up- or down-galley configurations. Stylish, luxurious and with a long list of standard equipment, the 55FB is also a powerful performer with top speeds over 32 knots.

Interested boaters can learn more about the 55 Eastbay FB from Authorized Grand Banks Dealers and by visiting GB displays at fall shows, where other new models will be on display. This includes the highly-acclaimed 53 Aleutian RP, which can be found at boat shows in Seattle, Newport, Norwalk, Annapolis and Ft. Lauderdale. Launched just one year ago, the 53RP has already proven to be a worldwide success through strong sales in markets around the globe.

Another recent addition to the raised-pilothouse Aleutian Series, the flagship 76RP, will be on display at the Genoa International Boat Show starting October 1. With four staterooms, stunning luxury and new contemporary styling options, the 76RP is the largest and most impressive vessel ever built by Grand Banks.

In addition to each of these new yachts, Grand Banks has more announcements about upcoming models planned when it kicks off the biggest show of the season on October 27 in Ft. Lauderdale.
