Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was TWD 2,507.43 million compared to TWD 2,764.24 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 180.37 million compared to TWD 161.11 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.59 compared to TWD 0.53 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 0.59 compared to TWD 0.53 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was TWD 6,800.23 million compared to TWD 7,027.28 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 378.84 million compared to TWD 398.23 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.24 compared to TWD 1.31 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 1.24 compared to TWD 1.3 a year ago.
Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sales of cans and caps. The main products of the Company include aluminum cans, iron cans, aluminum caps, iron caps, polypropylene (PP) plastic caps and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films. Its products are applied in the manufacture of packaging products for beer, tea, coffee, soda drinks, fruit juice and canned meat, among others. The Company operates its businesses in Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
