MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

Numbers, I was always told in math class, have the coldness of exact things. When you turn these pages or scroll through these screens, your mind will change radically. Each number that we will present to you in this report has a name, has

a family, and has an address. And, more than anything else, all these figures that you will see have the emotion of NGOs that have transformed lives and the passion of a team, ours, that envisions the possibility of making an impact in a socially unbalanced world. In each graphic, each quantification, our maintainer's awareness will also be imprinted, that corporations play a fundamental role in the social development of the environments in which they operate. Nothing, therefore, more exact and, at the same time, warmer, more loving. Yes, here at the Foundation, we believe in corporate love.

The year 2022 was challenging for everyone. Companies, countries, employees, NGOs. If we think about it, we will see how much more challenging this year was for the outskirts, for the communities, the slums. Which are the purpose and scope of Casas Bahia Foundation's action. That is why we did more, stretched our numbers, filled them with more passion, to be able, in this difficult scenario, to continue the journey of training young people, empowering women entrepreneurs, gathering volunteers and, being just a particle in

this multiverse, contributing to reduce inequalities and empower the population of the outskirts.

This fills us, and our maintainer, with pride beyond measure. And there's not even numbers to describe it. I will leave you with our results. But first, I would like to thank each and every one of VIA's more than 44,000 employees. It is your work that, in addition to making the dreams of millions of consumers come true, gives wings to the Foundation. Those wings, and energy, come back to us in pride, sense of belonging and responsibility for trying to build a better society. Thank you, friends.

I would also like to use this space to thank Natália Menezes. During my almost 4 years at the Foundation, she led the team with contagious talent and vibrancy. Good luck in your new steps, Nat. Fly high, but always carrying in your backpack your purpose, your values, and your dream of changing the world.

WHO WE ARE

Casas Bahia Foundation aims to strengthen communities, multiplying opportunities for socio- emotional and professional development for young people and micro-entrepreneurs. We believe that this is how we can contribute to building a more prosperous and inclusive society that offers equal opportunities for all.

Our social action strategy is based on three fronts - Young Leadership, Fostering Entrepreneurship and Social Engagement - which, together, reflect the way in which we generate a positive impact on society.

We join forces with partners who know the territories and local audiences and are references in the areas in which they operate. We support projects that broaden perspectives and contribute to individual and collective evolution through access to education, work, and entrepreneurship opportunities. And we also stand by the communities through humanitarian aid actions, especially in situations of public calamity.
