Grupo Palacio de Hierro, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2022. For the fourth quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 16,044.91 million compared to MXN 14,120.07 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 381.64 million compared to MXN 1,061.73 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.11 compared to MXN 2.86 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.11 compared to MXN 2.86 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was MXN 1.11 compared to MXN 2.86 a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 4.57 compared to MXN 2.88 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 4.57 compared to MXN 2.88 a year ago.
Grupo Palacio de Hierro SAB De CV is a Mexico-based holding company primarily engaged in the retail sector. The Companyâs main activities include the operation of a network of department stores, outlets, home furnishing and accessories stores, Boutiques Palacio, boutiques, independent restaurants, bistros, restaurant-stores, travel agencies and beauty clinics; as well as a number of restaurants and travel agencies integrated in some of the stores. The Company is also involved in the real estate, through the management and operation of shopping centers located in Coyoacan, Polanco, Puebla and Monterrey. In addition, it offers sales financing services and consumer credits to its clients.
