HANMI Taiwan micro SAW Showroom is located in Zhongli, Taoyuan, where major PCB (printed circuit board) companies are located along with ASE, the world's largest OSAT (post-semiconductor process and test) company. It is going to display two 'micro SAW & Vision Placement' (MS&VP) equipment that is 2,880 sq. ft. indoor.
Kwak Dong-shin, Vice Chairman of HANMI Semiconductor Co., Ltd., said, 'Taiwan market is a key global semiconductor region with major OSAT companies such as TSMC, the world's largest foundry (semiconductor consignment) along with system semiconductor (non-memory) growth.'
'We have achieved more than 20 billion won (USD 17 mil) in sales and profitability in the second half of this year by supplying 6.8 billion won (USD 5.8 mil) worth of micro SAW & Vision Placement equipment from Jiangsu Silicon Integrity Semiconductor Technology (JSSI), a Chinese semiconductor OSAT.'
It is drawing attention as an example of overcoming Japanese companies that have been leading markets with equipment that cuts semiconductor packages. HANMI Semiconductor is creating synergy effects by combining it with vision placement equipment that continues to be the top market share in the world.
