HFCL Limited informed that Mr. Sampathkumaran S.T. has been appointed as Executive President- Defence Business of the Company w.e.f. March 07, 2024 and has been designated as one of the Senior Management Personnel of the Company. Mr. Sampathkumaran has more than 30 years of experience with various reputed manufacturing organizations across India. During his career, he was responsible for handling Business operations in Indian and global markets in the areas of Aerospace, Space, Defense, Defence R&D labs besides EPC & Industrial segments.

Prior to joining HFCL, Mr. Sampathkumaran has worked with M/s Adani Enterprises as the Senior Vice President­ Defense & Aerospace and earlier with M/s Dassault Reliance Aerospace as the CEO. He has also worked with Aequs Aerospace as Vice-President, India Defense. Mr. Sampathkumaran is a graduate Electrical & Electronics engineer from the University of Mysore, with a post graduate diploma in Management (Marketing) from the Goa Institute of Management Studies ­ Goa.

He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India and a certified Chartered Engineer. He was responsible for building the Missiles Business for the Adani Group and won several contracts from DRDO and Indian customers. Some of the key achievements in his career include successfully concluding large contracts with the DRDO, Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Dassault Aviation, France, for the supply of Falcon 2000 Business Jet Cockpits, Fuel Tanks, and Rafale Engine Bay Doors.

He played a pivotal role in the Indian Navy's strategic vessel/submarine project. He also signed a contract with Boeing, USA, for the supply of machined parts and sub-assemblies for both civil and fighter aircraft. He was also instrumental in signing long-term contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. for the LCA Fighter Aircraft and another contract with Bharat Dynamic Ltd. for the supply of subsystems for several missile programs. His accomplishments extend to contracts with the Indian Space Research Organization for both PSLV and GSLV Launch Vehicles' structural assemblies and the supply of critical Titanium closed die forgings for semi- cryogenic engines, among other notable achievements.
