Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Limited informed that on December 29, 2023, at around 7.50 p.m. IST, severe accidental fire occurred at Hindusthan National Glass & Industries Limited, Sinnar plant located at F1, MIDC Malegaon, Dist. Sinnar, Nashik -- 422 113, Maharashtra. The plant manufactures container glass in India.

Finally, the fire was controlled, but various properties incurred damage, which will cause temporary disruptions of the production. There were no human injuries or casualties reported. Adequate steps are being undertaken to restore the operations of the plant.

The Company is in the process to ascertain the actual quantum of loss caused by the fire. Further, there is adequate insurance coverage for the said plant and intimation to insurance company has already been made.
