14:30 ET -- Honeywell International Inc. is one of the most talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Honeywell said its third-quarter profit rose to $1.55 billion, or $2.28 a share, from $1.26 billion, or $1.80 a share, in the prior-year quarter. Adjusted earnings rose to $2.25 a share from $2.02 a share last year. Sales rose 6%, to $8.95 billion. The technology company for the aerospace and building industries expects sales for full year 2022 of $35.4 billion to $35.7 billion. Adjusted earnings per share for the year are now seen at $8.70 to $8.80 compared with a prior view for $8.55 to $8.80. "Honeywell executed exceptionally well in the third quarter, meeting or exceeding guidance for all metrics," said Darius Adamczyk, chairman and chief executive officer. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva.
