HSBC Bank Oman Appoints Abdul Qader Bin Ahmed Al Sumali as New General Manager and Retail Banking and Wealth Management Head in Oman

HSBC Bank Oman has appointed Abdul Qader bin Ahmed Al Sumali as new general manager and head of retail banking and wealth management (RBWM). In his new role, Sumali will be in charge for driving and expanding the Bank's retail banking and wealth management presence in Oman. Sumali joined HSBC Bank Oman in 2013 as deputy general manager, retail banking and wealth management.

He has more than 20 years of experience in retail banking and been involved in numerous public and private sector projects.

HSBC Bank Oman SAOG, formerly Oman International Bank SAOG, is an Oman-based joint stock company engaged in the provision of commercial banking products and services through a network of branches in Oman, in addition to its overseas branches in India and Pakistan. The Bank's products and services are structured into three business segments: the Retail Banking and Wealth Management segment offers personal banking, consumer finance and wealth management products for individual customers; the Commercial banking segment provides receivables financing services, payments and cash management, international trade finance, treasury and capital markets, commercial cards, insurance, cash and derivatives in foreign exchange and rates, and online and direct banking offerings, and the Global Banking and Markets segment provides financial solutions to government, corporate and institutional clients.
