The board of directors of Huscoke Holdings Limited announced that, based on a preliminary review of the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the six months ended 30 June 2020 (the "Period"), and other information currently available to the Board, the Board expects that there will be a decrease in profit of approximately HKD 18.0 million, representing a decrease of 40% from a profit of HKD 45.1 million for the corresponding period in 2019. The expected decrease in profit for the Period is primarily due to the impact of Coronavirus Disease (the "COVID-19") during the Period, it hits the production and the demand of coke, which had a negative effect on the market price of coke, which affected the Group's profit margin during the Period.
