Huvis (CEO You Dong Shin, 079980)), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced that the company appointed Geon Ho Kim as the president in charge of future strategy on December 1. He will oversee new businesses and business development. CEO You Dong Shin will serve as the CEO as before, and the newly appointed President, Gun-Ho Kim, will be in charge of discovering future revenue sources and securing new growth engines.

Mr. Geon Ho Kim graduated from Lehigh University in the US in 2007, where he studied finance. After graduation, he worked as a JP Morgan analyst, and joined Samyang Holdings in 2014. He then served as the overseas team leader and the global growth team leader in the AM BU (Business Unit) of Samyang Corporation. He led the global market expansion of Samyang's chemical business based on his global capabilities. After he was appointed as head of the Global Growth PU (Performance Unit) of Samyang Holdings in 2018, he played a leading role in establishing Samyang Group's global growth strategy.

"We chose him to strengthen future growth engines, for example, discovering and nurturing new businesses, M&A, joint ventures and overseas expansion related to new and existing businesses," said a Huvis official. "Based on the new president's rich experience and know-how, it is expected that Huvis' competitiveness will be raised to a new level."
