Hytera Communications has released its new intrinsically safe (IS) radio series including HP79XEx DMR Portable Two-way Radio and PT890Ex TETRA Portable Radio. Engineered to meet stringent IECEX and ATEX requirements for explosion-proof equipment, these devices empower personnel with confidence in workplace safety, when they efficiently communicate and collaborate with intuitive push-to-talk (PTT) calls, at potentially hazardous work sites where explosive gas, combustible dust, and chemical vapor exist. The HP79XEx and PT890Ex adopt multiple protections such as explosion-proof material and battery, advanced mechanical design, and innovative IS circuits to eliminate electrostatic discharges, prevent sparks from accidental drops, and ensure stable heat dissipation.

HP79XEx boasts 2W RF TX power and 0.16µV receiving sensitivity, while PT890Ex offers Class3L TX power level and -120 dBm receiving sensitivity; their performance ensures robust signal transmission and penetration across wide and complex campuses. Their robust 2W speakers, augmented by AI-based noise cancellation, automatic gain control (AGC), and howling suppression technology, enable loud and clear voice calls in the bustling industrial environment, even at the edge of coverage. The versatile connectivity options, such as BT5.3, WLAN, and NFC, greatly simplify the management of HP79XEx and PT890Ex.

These features facilitate wireless accessory connections, remote programming, and rapid user identity recognition. The 20% reduction in weight and 10% slimming down compared to previous IS series, coupled with advanced ergonomics, further elevate the user experience. Both models excel in extreme work temperatures ranging from -25°C to 60°C.
