IDOM Inc. announced consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended November 30, 2016. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 191,033 million against JPY 152,082 million for the same period a year ago. Operating income was JPY 4,022 million against JPY 6,599 million for the same period a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 3,913 million against JPY 6,856 million for the same period a year ago. Net income was JPY 2,190 million against JPY 4,221 million for the same period a year ago. Net income per basic share was JPY 21.60 against net JPY 41.63 for the same period a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was JPY 3,554 million against JPY 6,804 million for the same period a year ago.
The company provided earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending February 28, 2017. For the year, the company expects sales of JPY 243,500 million, operating income of JPY 7,600 million, ordinary income of JPY 7,100 million, net income of JPY 4,100 million and net income per share of JPY 40.43.
IDOM Inc is a Japan-base company principally engaged in the used car sales business, new car sales business and related businesses. The Company operates its business through three geographical segments: Japan, Australia and Others. The Company sells vehicles purchased at Gulliver stores through used car auctions and the dolphinet system. Gulliver stores operate through directly managed stores and member stores. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is also involved in the sale of new and used cars, the insurance agency business, the sale and maintenance of BMW passenger cars, as well as the sale of repair parts and accessories.
