II-VI Inc. announced the appointment of CEO Vincent "Chuck" Mattera to serve as the company's newest chairman of its board of directors. Mattera's appointment to the role during the company's annual shareholder meeting follows the initial announcement of the plans for him to do so back in August. He is the company's third board chair in its 50-year history and replaces previous board chair and former CEO Francis Kramer, who has since assumed the role of chair emeritus and as a director on the board. The company also announced the election of Lisa Neal-Graves to serve as its newest board member during II-VI's annual shareholder meeting. She has worked as a principal at technology consulting firm LMNG Innovations LLC since 2020 and previously held the title of chief innovation officer for the Colorado State Attorney General's Office in 2019.
