iliad announces that Freya, an investment vehicle co-owned with NJJ Holding, has entered into an agreement with Kinnevik to acquire in cash approximately 19.8% of the share capital of Tele2, for approximately SEK 13 billion (approx. €1.16 billion).

The transaction has been divided into three tranches, the last of which is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2024. Once approved by the authorities, Freya will become the reference shareholder of this operator present in Sweden and the Baltic States.

This acquisition offers iliad an "opportunity to accompany Tele2 in its growth and to work closely together on innovation, convergence and investment in next-generation networks".
